PURPOSE:To improve wet-heat resistance, impact strength, and flexibility by compounding polybutylene naphthalenedicarboxylate with a specific copolymer. CONSTITUTION:100 pts.wt. resin compsn. comprising 60-99.5wt.% polybutylene naphthalenedicarboxylate (e.g. polybutylene 2, 6-naphthalenedicarboxylate) and 0.5-40wt.% copolymer consisting of 70-99.5 pts.wt. alpha-olefin, 0.5-20 pts.wt. glycidyl methacrylate, and 0-30 pts.wt. vinyl acetate (the sum being 100 pts.wt.) is compounded with 0-150 pts.wt. inorg. filler (e.g. carbon black). |
