PURPOSE:To provide good air-tightness for a junction of pipes by inserting by screwing a male thread packing stopper into a female thread in a pipe fitting, mounting a ring-shaped packing covered with a coating, filling the void between the female thread and the peripheral wall of packing with the coating, inserting a connection pipe by screwing, deforming the packing elastically to cause tight contacting, filling the voids between the periphery of the packing and the female thread with coating uniformly, and thereby building a shutoff wall. CONSTITUTION:A packing stopper 3 provided at the periphery with a male thread 3a is fitted by screwing into the female thread 1a in a joint pipe 1. A ring-shaped packing 4 made of elastic material is fitted in front of the male threaded packing stopper 3, and a coating 5 for shutoff is applied to the periphery of the packing stopper 3, and the male thread 2a on the connection pipe 2 is inserted by screwing into the female thread la of the joint pipe 1. When the connection pie 2 is screwed in, the packing 4 makes elastic deformation in the area to the male threaded packing stopper 3 to generate tight contacting of the packing stopper 3, packing 4, and connection pipe 2. |
