<p>PURPOSE:To make the fastening of bolts to bolt seats easier by forming some or all bolt seats provided at the flanges of cylinder heads obliquely, and providing stopper members in the direction of the fastening force of the bolts to the flanges. CONSTITUTION:In a four-cylinder engine 1, the downstream side ends of plural independent inlet passages 4a to 4d are connected to the flanges 3 of cylinder heads, and the upstream side ends of the independent inlet passages 4a to 4d are connected to a collecting chamber 5. The downstream side ends of the inlet passages 4a to 4d are installed to bolt seats 7 provided to the flanges 3 of the cylinder heads with bolts 6. In this case, the bolt seats 7 are formed obliquely to the flanges 3 to allow to insert a fastening jig 8 easily between the bending parts of the inlet passages 4a to 4d. Furthermore, in order to cope with the fastening force acting obliquely when the bolts 6 are fastened by a bolt fastening jig 8, stoppers 9 are provided making the ends of the flanges 3 as the standard surface.</p> |
