<p>The automatic production system is equipped with several production stations (4), a material flow system which comprises a storage facility (3), a transport facility (5, 13, 14, 15) and handling facilities (12), and an information flow system for controlling the production system. The information flow system exhibits two separate data networks (19, 20). A first, external data network (19) is provided for exchanging process control data between a central processor (21) and the production stations (4) and for exchanging transport control data between the central processor (21) and a transport control station (13). A second internal data network (20) connects the storage facility (3), the transport facility (5, 13, 14, 15) and the handling facilities (12) with one another. Data for identifying the material, destination data for the transportation of the material and data for the call-up of programs for the machining of the material are permanently allocated to the material to be processed, that is to say the workpieces and tools, the internal data network (20) being intended for the exchange of these data. Due to the improved information system, this production system is suitable for fully automatic flexible production. <IMAGE></p> |
