PURPOSE:To obtain a sharp transfer image having gradation by forming latent image regions in the number corresponding to the kinds of color signals with respect to one recording dot by a latent image forming part and supplying recording agents containing different developing materials to the latent image parts corresponding to respective color signals in a developing part to form a color image. CONSTITUTION:A latent image forming part 72 is constituted of a liquid supply part 72a, a heating element part 72b corresponding to a printing dot and drive circuits 72c. The heating element part 72b further consists of three heating elements 72b1-72b3 corresponding to yellow, magenta and cyan and these elements are independently driven on the basis of color data. Yellow, magenta and cyan inks are supplied to a developing part 73 corresponding to the heating elements for yellow, magenta and cyan. A paper feed roller 74, an image removing heater 76 and a cleaning roller 77 are provided. By arranging the heating elements and ink supply elements corresponding to respective colors in one row, multicolor printing can be carried out by one paper feed. As a result, as compared with a system successively printing yellow, magenta and cyan, color shift is eliminated and the apparatus can be miniaturized. |
