发明名称 THERMAL RECORDING MATERIAL
摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain sharp printing by low energy equal to that in thermal recording due to chemical color development by providing a resin layer becoming a sensitizing layer to at least one surface of the membrane of a low m.p. metal provided to an undercoat layer and specifying the glass transition temp. or m.p. of the resin layer. CONSTITUTION:For example, a thermal recording material performing printing by heating a part of the thermal recording layer composed of the membrane 4 of a low m.p. metal provided to an undercoat layer 3 to melt and perforate the membrane 4 is constituted of a substrate sheet 1, a colored layer 2, the undercoat layer 3, the metal membrane 4, an overcoat layer 5 and a protective layer 6 and the glass transition temp. or m.p. of the resin of the undercoat layer 3 or overcoat layer 5 is set to 80 deg.C or less. As the resin, an acrylic resin, polyurethane, polyvinyl butyral, a vinyl chloride/vinyl acetate copolymer, polyvinyl alcohol or an ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer can be used but the acrylic resin and the polyvinyl butyral type resin are especially suitable from the aspect of coating properties and durability. The temp. heating the undercoat layer to bring the same to a fluid region is pref. lower than the m.p. of the metal by 20 deg.C or higher.
