PURPOSE:To suppress the lowering of copying speed on the whole regardless of the quantity to be copied of documents so as to enable rapid clerical work by setting a paper feeding interval at the time of using a document conveyer means according to the conveying distance or conveying time of transfer paper from a paper feed tray into a document information transfer position. CONSTITUTION:This copying device is provided with an upper, a middle, a lower paper supply trays 180-1 - 180-3 loaded with various kinds of transfer paper, paper feed rollers 319-1 - 319-3 driven independently to draw the transfer paper out in the direction of a carrier path 350, and resist rollers 113 for conveying the drawn-out transfer paper at constant speed and sending the conveyed transfer paper out in the direction of a transfer part at the specified timing. It is also so set that a paper feeding interval at the time of using a document conveyor device (ADF) is made short in the case of feeding paper from a paper feed tray 180 short in conveying distance and conveying time from a sensitized body, and a paper feeding interval at the time of using ADF is made long in the case of feeding paper from the paper feed tray 180 long in conveying distance or conveying time. The lowering of copying speed on the whole can be thereby suppressed regardless of the number to be copied of documents so as to realize rapid clerical work. |
