NEW MATERIAL:The title antifungal substance ONL selected from ONL-1, 2 and 3 having the following physicochemical characteristics: ONL-1: (1) physical appearance: colorless and oily; (2) molecular weight: 252; (3) molecular formula: C15H24O3, etc.; ONL-2: (1) physical appearance: colorless and oily; (2) molecular weight: 250; (3) molecular formula: C15H22O3, etc.; ONL-3: (1) physical appearance: colorless and oily; (2) molecular weight: 248; (3) molecular formula: C15H20O3, etc. USE:Having antifungal activity, thus useful for medicines and pesticides. PREPARATION:A plant, Xanthium orientale is extracted with a solvent, and from the resulting extract the objective antifungal is separated and recovered. |
