<p>The invention comprises in combination: - a lighter-than-air machine (ENG) of the balloon or kite type including a nacelle (NAC), - a link (LIA) by cable fixed at one of its ends to the machine and at the other of its ends to a mobile or fixed ground station (STA), and - an aerial and/or terrestrial teledetection system installed in the nacelle (NAC) and interacting with means (UT) equipping the station for receiving detected information and processing it, the cable (LIA) comprising at least one optical fibre for providing transmission of the said teledetection information from the installed system to the reception means of the ground station.
