PURPOSE:To obtain a thick-walled reinforced plastic composite pipe not deteriorated in strength per a unit even when the thickness of the pipe is increased by forming thick-walled resin mortar layers at an intermediate part over two or more times and limiting the thicknesses of the layers and separately curing said layers for proper times by external heat. CONSTITUTION:A plastic reinforced strip like material 6A formed by impregnating a glass fiber with a thermosetting plastic solution is spirally wound around a core cylinder 4 to form an inner layer 7. Subsequently, a material wherein sand particles are compounded and kneaded with thermosetting plastic is molded into a strip material 9A from a squeezing device 8A to form the first resin mortar layer 10A. Next, the built-up layer is heated to about 130 deg.C in the first curing oven 11A to be cured. In this case, the thickness of the resin mortar layer 10A is set to an experientially known limit value or less. Subsequently, the second strip material 9B is spirally wound around the composite pipe to form the second resin mortar layer 10B and the whole is introduced into the second curing oven 11B to form an outer layer 12. This procedure is repeated until desired pipe thickness is finally obtained. |
