Packaging device for flower bunches - uses belt transporter, tapered sleeve, and gripper device

The packaging device includes a flower bunch (1) and a funnel-shaped paper sleeve (2). A belt transporter (9) includes a detector for automatic positioning of flowers. An air nozzle (10) directs compressed air into the wide end (3) of the sleeve. Air nozzle operation enables the sleeve to open to its full extent for entry of a pre-arranged bunch. A gripper device (13) includes a clamp (14) and is moved by a pneumatic activator (15) for controlled depositing of the bunch into the sleeve. A robot arm (17) controls tear-off operation of the packaging sleeve.
