PURPOSE:To prepare an easy-to-read document by expressing a group of character strings which show the meaning of a word (idiom) or phase while they are automatically separated with spaces. CONSTITUTION:A user sets the layout of a document from an input device 2 in a layout setting means 6. A Japanese document when inputted is held temporarily on a buffer memory a41 of a character string holding means and its character strings are properly divided by a document section finding means 5 and held on buffer memories a41 and b42 of the character holding means. The spacing of respective characters in the character strings is adjusted by a character interval adjusting means 7 and then the intervals of the character strings are adjusted by a character string interval adjusting means. Therefore, the character strings showing the meaning of one section such as an idiom and a phrase within the number of characters of one line set by the layout setting means 6 are arrayed as a group. Consequently, the easy-to-read document can be prepared. |
