PURPOSE:To improve accoelerating performance while compatibly suppressing variation in torque by providing a controller which assists acceleration when the rotation acceleration of an engine is large and which suppresses variation in rotation torque in accordance with an angular acceleration when it is small. CONSTITUTION:An electromagnetic pickup 1 as an angular velocity sensor, an engine speed sensor 7, and a water temp. sensor 8 are provided on an internal combustion engine 2 and their detected signals are inputted into a controller 12. In the controller 12, first, when the detected water temp. is above a defined value, it is judged whether the absolute value of a rotation acceleration obtained by differentiating the detected engine speed is larger or not, by a CPU 15. And, when it is large, the assistance of acceleration is carried out, whereas, when it is small, the suppression of variation in torque is carried out. That is, when judges a sudden acceleration, a dynamotor 4 functions as a motor to further accelerate the rotation of a flywheel. On the other hand, when judged a sudden deceleration, the dynamotor 4 functions as a generator to give a load to the engine 2 and the suppress the rotation of the flywheel 5. |
