PURPOSE:To obtain a color picture tube with few color shift and deflective distortion that uses almost parallel electron beams by properly selecting the intensity of a vertical deflection magnetic field without using any complex circuit and device. CONSTITUTION:Supposing that the Z direction gradient of a vertical deflection magnetic field H'10=dH10/dZ, of the vertical deflection magnetic field H10 on the tube axis is defined as the secondary component of the vertical deflection magnetic field in the horizontal direction H12, the deflection starting point of an electron beam is assumed to be the origin, an axis that almost coincides with the tube axis is defined as the Z-axis coordinate, the advance direction of the electron beam is defined as the positive direction, and also supposing that the position of the screen face is defined as ZB on such coordinates; a color picture tube with few color shift and deflective distortion in which a deflection error is retained within the allowable range in the peripheral of the screen can be obtained by setting such a vertical deflection magnetic field to 12.(Z-ZB).H12+ H10<=4.0 in c.g.s-emu. unit. |
