PURPOSE:To obtain a translation result to some extent even in the case of a failure in analysis of syntax by dividing a sentence with partial tree structure wherein syntax analytic trees are and put into the one highest tree in the case of the failure in the syntax analysis, and carrying on a process. CONSTITUTION:A morphoneme analytic part 1 performs normal morphoneme division processing by using a word dictionary 5. A syntax analytic part 2 obtains information of individual words and generates a tree structure according to a grammatical rule 6, a syntax conversion part 3 converts the tree structure of an input language into the tree structure of an output language, and a morphoneme generation part 4 translates the obtained tree structure, node by node, by using a generation rule 7. In the case of the failure in syntax analysis, the sentence is divided with the partial tree structure wherein syntax analytic trees are put in the one highest tree, and the process is carried on. Consequently, a translated character string of some extent can be obtained even in the case of the failure in analysis and a user post-edits the sentence to obtain a translation. |
