PURPOSE:To eliminate a cover of an elastomer, to provide soft and excellent folding ability, to reduce a volume when an air bag is folded, and to reduce the weight of the air bag by sewing a fabric, woven by using a fiber filament containing a high strength heat resisting fiber, in a bagform shape. CONSTITUTION:In an air bag 1, a fabric A2, having a cover factor of 1900 or more and a fiber filling rate of 0.5 or more, woven by using a fiber filament A1 containing a high strength heat resisting fiber having monofilament fineness of 2 de or less, a strength of 16g/de or more, and a thermal decomposition temperature of 300 deg.C or more is sewn in a bagform shape to form a body, and at least one or more fabrics B2, having a cover factor of 1900 or more and a fiber filling rate of 0.50 or more, woven by using a filament B1 containing more quantity of high strength heat resisting fibers than the filament A1, are sewn in a laminated state to form an inflator mounting part 2, which is located as an apron. The filament A1 is produced such that 30-90wt.% thermoplastic synthetic fibers having a monofilament fineness of 5 de or less and a Young's modulus of 1300kg/cm<2> or less are combined, and paraaromatic polyamide fibers are used as the high strength heat-resisting fibers. |
