PURPOSE:To obtain the constantly desirable mounted state by forming a cover lip, provided protrusively at the side edge part on the window panel side of a welt member, in such a way as to be flexibly deformable in the curved direction by the action of its curved shape, a thin wall part at the tip and a notch formed at a base part. CONSTITUTION:A window panel 5 is adhesively fixed to the inner peripheral edge part of a back door frame 2, which is the window frame member of an automobile, and a welt member 8 of approximately U-shape cross section is fittingly fixed to a peripheral edge flange 4 on the inner peripheral side. This welt member 8 is integrally provided at its side edge part with a protruding cover lip 11A. The cover lip 11A is formed in the state of being curved toward the adhesively fixed side of the window panel 5 and into such length as to bring its tip part into close contact with the face of the window panel 5. A notch 12 is further formed at the extended base part facing the inside of the curve of the cover lip 11A, step difference is provided on the tip side to form a thin wall part 13. The tip of the cover lip 11A is thereby brought into elastic contact with the face of the window panel 5 so as to prevent the generation of a parting gap. |
