The user bit detecting circuit detects the start-id and the shortening-id from data of EIAJ CP-340 Digital Audio Interface September 1987. The circuit includes a bi-phase decoder (1) for decoding the received data, a user bit detector (20) for detecting the user bit from the decoded data, a counter (30) for counting the subframe pulse, a decoder (40) for decoding the output signal of the counter, a latch (50) for latching the user bit using the decoder output, an indicator detector (60) for detecting the start-id and the shortening-id from output signals of the user bit detector (20), a serial to parallel converter (70) for synchronizing the user bit to the subframe pulse, a PIPO register (80) for generating parallel user bit, and an user bit transmitter (100) for transmitting the parallel user bit in series.
