PURPOSE:To speedily smooth a stepped indented part by outputting dots of three levels of all white, all black, and an intermediate tone to a periphery of a stepped indented part to visually smooth the part. CONSTITUTION:A graphic processing device is composed of a host computer 100 preparing described documents, a PDL controller 200 spreading PDL languages, sent from the host computer 100 in a page unit, to an image picture, and a printer 300 printing the image picture. A multivalued printer, able to output dots at a level of at least three values, is used in the printer 300. Dots of three levels of all white, all black, and an intermediate tone are outputted to a periphery of a stepped indented part, according to a degree of a detected stepped variation, to visually smooth the stepped indented part. This can speedily smooth the stepped indented part. |
