With rotary machines, in whch tension occurs through an axial movement of the hollow spindle in the direction of the chuck, there is a displacement of the stop which moves with the clamping union with the hollow spindle. The workpiece in the machine moves along until contact occurs with the clamping jaws, which stops the forward movement of the workpiece. As machining requires very high pressure there is a residual movement of the hollow spindle which is absorbed by a pressure spring (2) forming part of a tension pressure compensation device. This device consists of a body (1), a pressure spring (2), a bolt (3), a shaft sealing ring (4), a clamp plate (5), and a stop shaft (6). USE - In rotary machines, partic. lathes, as a hollow spindle stop with tension pressure compensation.
