The data transmission circuit checks the status of each processor using the strobe signal and the acknowledge signal to exclude the usage of status signal port. The circuit comprises a data memory (10) for storing data incoming through data bus and for generating a status signal representing the memory state and a data input completion signal (DIN), a data storage controller (20) for comparing the strobe signal (STB) generated by an external processor and the status signal (STS) to generate the data storage control signal (DSC), and an acknowledge signal generator (30) for operating the data storage completion signal (DIN) and the strobe signal (STB) to generate the acknowledge signal (ACK) representing data receive completion.
