PURPOSE:To prevent folding or twisting from occurring by a method wherein rollers are provided to a disk-like intermediate member connecting cylindrical fenders in series so that the rollers rotate freely, and the intermediate member is moved through the rollers that are fitted into grooves provided in recessed form to a roller receiving member. CONSTITUTION:Grooves 4, each of which is in rectangular section, are formed lengthwise on four positions at equal, intervals on the inner circumferential surface of a cylindrical recess 3 that is formed on the side face of a quaywall 2. Two cylindrical fenders 10 and 11 are connected in series with a disk-like intermediate member 12 interposed in between, and a base board 13 of the fender 10 is fixed to the recess 3. Rollers 16, three or more in number, that are installed projecting beyond the circumference of the intermediate member 12 are fitted into the grooves 4. External force applied to the axis X-X is received with an impact-receiving board 14, and the fenders 10 and 11 are contracted with roller 16 moved inward, and thereby the intermediate member 12 is housed in the recess 3. Thereby the intermediate member 12 is moved smoothly without being folded or twisted, preventing decline of reaction force and durability. |
