The invention relates to a tube-like heat-exchanger for cooling combustion gases and for heating air, in particular combustion air, the tubes being run alternately from one side to the opposite side of the exchanger. In order to manage with a small material outlay, the tubes are intended to conduct the combustion gases through, while the air is conducted in counterflow in the direction of the tubes in ducts guided to and fro, which serve to receive the tubes.
