The modulator is part of a closed liquid circulation system for generating through varying the continuous flour (pump regulation) and the pulsed flour acceleration (frequency charge, pressure regulation of inflowing gas) - flow curves correspondence to those pertaining in human blood vessel system. A non-return valve (7) is provided as well as a flowmeter (17) followed by an inteference (14) for the flow curve plotter. A constriction has a by-pass (6). The expansion chamber (4) is provided with compressed air via inlet (9) and outlet (8) valves. These valves are controlled by an electronic unit (1) with mains supply (2). An interface (11) delivers a trigger signal to a n.m.r. tomographic apparatus. An opticla Doppler apparatus allows the flow curves to be represented further via a Doppler probe (15) and interface (13). USE/ADVANTAGE - Offers routine measuring procedure for blood flow in arteries supplying organs and part of the body and through flow in peripheral tissue.
