PURPOSE:To measure a water content accurately and independently of the fiber direction of a body to be measured by radiating a microwave of circularly polarized wave to the sheet-shaped measuring body. CONSTITUTION:The sheet-shaped measuring body is interposed between a transmitting part 41 and a receiving part 42, the microwave sent out from the part 41 is received by the part 42 to detect the damped quantity of the microwave, and the water contained in the measuring body is measured. In this case, the water content can be measured accurately and independently of the fiber direction of the measuring body by sending out the circularly polarized microwave from the part 41. |
