The clamp terminal has a clamp housing (10) containing two adjacent conductive clamp elements (18), each with an attached soldering pin (28) at one end. The alternating clamp elements (18) are positioned at 180 deg. to one another, so that their soldering pins (28) lie at opposite ends in a zig-zag configuration. Pref. the clamp elements (18) are at 90 deg. to the electrical lead insertion direction, with a cooperating clamping screw (22) aligned with the centre of each clamp element. ADVANTAGE - Ensures max. creep current path.
