The automatic adjustment for a disc brake with brake-piston (8) has an adjustment-piece which can be lengthened and which is in two pieces connected by a non-self-locking thread between the brake-piston and the mechanical control. One of the (11) adjustment pieces has a friction coupling (30). The second adjustment piece (20) has an auxiliary piston (40) which engages the friction coupling (30) as a result of the effect of the pressure difference between the hydraulic pressure medium (1) and the ambient pressure (28) in the brake (2). ADVANTAGE - The adjustment has an auxiliary piston which prevents adjustment with high braking pressure.
