The household machine wall (10) carries a front plate (13) of the switching and control system (11) in a releasable manner. The front plate has recesses and retaining bores (21,22) for engagement by deformable latches and lugs (17,18) gripping behind the front plate and/or the machine wall. The control system pref. comprises a temp. regulator. The front plate is fitted with an orthogonally protruding plug latch (17) and a spaced head latch (18). The plug latch passes through a retaining aperture (21) in the machine wall, while a head (19) of the head latch passes through a slot of the machine wall. On the head latch deformation, the head is twisted about its axis, orthogonal to the front plate.
