Security box to receive coins and similar. A security box is provided which has an armoured casing 1 with entries for coins in hopper form 2 and a folding hatch 3 to remove the coins, and which has in addition a folding lid 6 to open/close the entry hoppers 2, there also being a locking plate 11 for the hatch 3. In addition, mechanisms are provided to move the folding lid 6 and the locking plate 11 of the hatch 3, whose mechanisms can be actuated in an independent manner by means of an electronic codes device. In this way, different codes may be used by the different users of one or other operation, i.e. to open the coin entry or to unlock the removal hatch. <IMAGE>
