Device for freeing the crushing rollers (101, 102) of a peristaltic pump, the said pump comprising a rotor (100) carrying the said rollers, and a drive shaft (200) coupled to a motor for driving the said rotor in terms of rotation about an axis (D). According to the invention, the said device comprises a freeing shaft (300) concentric with the said drive shaft and axial drive means (310, 400) for driving the said freeing shaft in terms of translation parallel to the said axis of rotation, a first end (302) of the freeing shaft exhibiting a slope means (330) and the rotor includes elastic means for keeping stop pieces (111, 121), which are respectively secured to the crushing rollers, bearing transversely against the said slope means whilst the freeing shaft is being translated axially.
