PURPOSE:To offer the recording device which is equipped with even a facsimile receiving function while reducing the danger of trouble occurrence by forming a latent image for recording on a photosensitive body according to recording information and inhibiting an image signal from being received from a telephone line by a reception inhibiting means when operation abnormality occurs. CONSTITUTION:A CPU 31 for FAX sends and receives a facsimile signal to and from the telephone line, expands and writes received data in a page memory 35, and forms the electrostatic latent image of facsimile received information on the photosensitive body 4 with recording image light based upon recording information through an optical print head control part 36 for an optical print head 9. If a main body is abnormal, a main body not-ready signal is sent as a main body state signal to the CPU 31 for FAX. Consequently, a communication is inhibited. Thus, an omission of records can be evaded, so the multifunctional recording device which is reduced in waste and danger of trouble occurrence can be realized. |
