<p>A medical ultrasound contrast agent and method of using the same wherein the contrast agent comprises a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier in combination with a substantially solid, radioactively opaque, biodegradable particle. The particle is of a size allowing it to be passed through the lungs to the left side of the heart where it may be visualized by conventional medical ultrasound.</p> |
