<p>Indium fluorogermanate Anticaries prophylaxis. Compound has high activity, does not discolour oral tissues, is stable and is non-toxic. By coprecipitation, e.g. by indium chloride and ammonium fluorogermanate, or by fusion of the two reactants. Dentifrices contain pref. 0.1-1.0% of the cpd.; prophylactic pastes may contain 10-30%. Mouse LD50 85 mg/kg. (that of NaF is 36mg/kg). A prophylactic paste contained indium fluorogermanate 20%, zirconium silicate 55%, liquid and minor ingredients 25%. A dentifrice contained indium fluorogermanate 0.2%, zirconium silicate 40%, sorbitol 20%, glycerol 10%, Na CMC 1.08%, coconut acid-monoglyceride-Na sulphonate 0.81%, Na lauryl sulphate 0.7%, minor ingredients and aromatic agents 1.84%, water to 100%.</p> |
