The subject of the invention is a profiled section for guiding a sliding slatted shutter to be mounted on the fixed frame of a picture window, the said frame of which comprises transoms (crosspieces) 2 including a deep longitudinal groove 2a, which profiled section comprises a rectangular tubular part 1a including four walls arranged at right angles, one of which comprises a longitudinal opening delimited by rectilinear edges and is characterised by the fact that it additionally includes, connected to the wall 1j1 which is provided in order to be applied against the said transom 2, at least one tongue 1t/1v which is perpendicular to this wall and extends along the length of the profiled section, which tongue has a rectangular cross-section and is fitted so as to engage with the said deep groove 2b in order to fix the profiled section 1 to the transom 2 of the fixed frame accurately and quickly.
