PURPOSE:To effectively carry out automatic recording while suppressing undesired power consumption and to protect a battery used from failing when the automatic recording section of a radio information automatic recorder is not connected with the battery by carrying out an automatic recording operation that can record a reception signal only for a particular time range. CONSTITUTION:This recorder is provided with a discriminating means 642 for discriminating whether or not a car radio receiver 10, an inspection means 20, and a recording means 30 are connected with an on-vehicle battery, a clock mean 61 for counting the present time, and a control means 641, when it is discriminated that respective means 10, 20, and 30 are not connected with the battery, respective means 10, 20, and 30 are energized with on-vehicle battery for a specified period of time determined based on time referred to the clocking means 61. Thus, the present radio information automatic recorder can carry out automatic recording effectively while suppressing undesired power consumption to protect the battery from failing. |
