PURPOSE:To enhance both of cleaning performance and chargeability stability by adding titanium oxide processed with a quaternary ammonium salt type charge controller to the outsides of dry toner particles. CONSTITUTION:The titanium oxide processed with the quaternary ammonium salt type charge controller is added to the outsides of the dry toner particles in an amount of 0.01 - 10wt.% of the total toner. A part of the fine titanium oxide powder may agglomerate and coat the toner particles but it is preferred to coat them in a single particle layer of the oxide powder, thus permitting the cleaning performance, environmental stability, and durability of the toner to be enhanced without impairing the powder fluidity of the titanium oxide. |
