摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain an SiC raw material having excellent oxidation resistance, resistant to decomposition and dissolution even in contact with molten pig iron and useful as a refractory material by selecting a material containing specific amounts of specific polymorphic alpha- and beta-SiC. CONSTITUTION:The objective SiC raw material contains 35-55% 4H-form and 10-25% 6H-form polymorphic alpha-SiC and 35-45% 3C-form beta-SiC.
