The feeder and aligner comprises feed members on shafts which route the sheet through the aligning region to the sheet feed rollers on the far side to direct the sheet to the cylinder gripper. The shafts (18) are carried in bearings adjusting in height on the feed table (2) side frames and rotate and adjust alongside the sheet feed direction, using devices to adjust the height and side setting of the bearings on a cycle basis. The sheet is entrainably contacted by the feeders, and lateral alignment is provided by edges arranged ahead of and behind the feed members on a contact sheet (68) which adjusts lengthways above the table in guides (64,67) on the table side frames (11,12) so that the bottom edge (66) projects freely beyond the feed members.
