The structure shown is made from glass fibre reinforced polyester resin, the parts being screwed together where necessary, and constitutes a free-standing cooling and mounting arrangement for a plurality of semi-conductor rectifiers. The rectifiers are mounted within the ducts defined by the generally L-shaped portions 2 and separators 8, electrical connections being made outside the ducts. The rectifiers on the upper part of the structure are in outer ducts with air inlets at half height, and the lower rectifiers are in central ducts with air inlets at the bottom of the structure. A ventilator (5) may be attached by a flange (6) to the top of the assembly. Bus-bars, fuses, capacitors and resistors may be mounted on the structure.
