<p>PURPOSE:To take correspondence regardless of the inserting directions of an IC card or the surface or rear thereof by one IC card and to enhance safety by symmetrically arranging two IC chips equipped with external terminals to the same surface of the card with respect to the inserting direction of the card and respectively connecting the individual terminals in the second external terminal to the corresponding individual terminals in the first external terminal. CONSTITUTION:IC chips 2A, 2B are mutually symmetrically arranged to a card with respect to the insertion directions 4A, 4B of the card. For example, it is supposed that the data of a bank is inputted to the IC chip 2A and data capable of purchasing drinking water from an automatic vending machine is inputted to the IC chip 2B. When a cash is put in or drawn from a bank using the bank data or a commodity is purchased using the data, by inserting an IC card 1 in the inserting direction 4A, data processing can be carried out. When drinking water is purchased from the automatic vending machine, by inserting the IC card in the inserting direction 4B, data processing is performed.</p> |
