<p>PURPOSE:To ensure highly efficient stock control and highly reliable delivery work by performing recognition of a code indicated on a discharged article, and marking the code automatically if a code constitution letter is not clear. CONSTITUTION:A code 9a printed on the surface of a hot coil 9 transported onto a conveyer line 13 is photographed by a camera 4, and its video signal is fed into a picture image processing device for recognition of the letter, and the results of recognition are fed into a lower computer 6. The lower computer 6 compares a code signal fed from an upper computer 1 with the letter of code 9a of the hot coil 9 recognized by the picture image processing device 5, and if it is judged that the quality of the letter does not satisfy its criterion, the lower computer 6 supplies a marking indication signal consisting of a printing command signal and a code signal. Then, a marker 7 prints a corresponding code on the surface of the hot coil 9.</p> |
