PURPOSE:To enable accurate regulation of the position of a nozzle axis by providing an ink jet axis regulating state deciding means to decide the propriety of the regulating state of an ink jet axis based on a charge detected by a charge detecting means. CONSTITUTION:A continuous injection type ink jet recording device comprises a conductive particle catcher 8 additionally functioning as a detecting charge and arranged in a home position in front of an earthing electrode 5 and a defalcating charge 7, a shield wire 9 connected to a conductive particle catcher 8, a current/voltage converter composed by a computing amplifier OP1, connected to the shield wire 9, and a resistor R1, a filter FT to remove noise from the output of the current/voltage converter, a reference power source EO, and a comparator CP to compare the voltage output of the filter FT with the voltage of the reference power source EO. By detecting the presence of a charge (current) carried by an electrified ink jet, optimum position relation between an inject injection axis (nozzle axis) and a knife edge 6 is detected and set. |
