<p>PURPOSE:To treat waste water efficiently and obtain treated water of stable water quality by positively flowing out the excess suspended sludge produced in the fluidized bed consisting of granular carriers stuck with micro-organisms, together with treated water into a solid-liquid separating tank. CONSTITUTION:This consists essentially of a fluidized-bed type waste water treatment tank 1 and a solid-liquid separating tank 3, and a separating pipe 8 for flowing out treated water and washing out the excess suspended sludge as well as a circulation line for circulating the final treated water to the lower part of the tank 1 are provided between the tank 1 and the tank 3. The sectional area of the pipe 8 is so set as to provide the speed of flow smaller than the settling speed of the carriers and larger than the settling speed of the suspended excess sludge. In consequence, the carriers fall from the downward part of the pipe 8 despite the inflow of the carriers together with the treated water into the pipe 8 and are therefore prevented from being carried up to the tank 3.</p> |
