PURPOSE:To simplify the structure and to improve the miscibility and dispersibility of the second-stage fuel in the first-stage combustion gas current by closely and uniformly arranging the reaction tube and fuel feed pipe having the same diameter in a specified manner. CONSTITUTION:The reaction tubes 3 are staggeringly arranged, the fuel feed pipes 15 having the same diameter as the reaction tube 3 are arranged around the reaction tubes 3 at the angular pitch of 60 deg., and the distance between the reaction tube 3 and the adjacent pipe 15 is equalized to that between the immediate adjacent reaction tubes 3. A hydrocarbonic material such as liquefied natural gas is supplied from a nozzle 1 to the reaction tube 3 packed with a reforming catalyst bed 5. The waste gas from an attached fuel cell is simultaneously supplied from a nozzle 8 to a first- stage catalytic combustion part 10 and burned, and the combustion gas is sent downward to heat the reaction tube 3. The waste gas from the fuel cell is supplied from a nozzle 13, passed through the pipe 15, mixed with the first-stage combustion gas and burned in the second-stage combustion catalyst bed 17, the combustion gas is allowed to flow countercurrently with the hydrocarbon flowing in the reaction tube 3 to heat the hydrocarbon, and hydrogen is generated by the steam reforming reaction and supplied to the fuel cell. |
