A resilient plastics hood 3 designed to protect the end of a power take-off shaft 1 from above and from the sides has an annular flange 4 which grips a ring 5 securable to a bearing 2 for the shaft 1. A projection 7 of the ring 5 engages a recess 6 in the flange 4 to angularly locate the hood. A cup-shaped plastics cover 8 for the shaft end is a snap-fit into the flange 4. |
