PURPOSE:To prevent a discharged air from a device of an adjoining room from being sucked when the device is installed at a building having symmetrical rooms by a method wherein a top surface and a bottom surface of a main body of the device are provided with openings for use in taking out an entire heat exchanger out of the device. CONSTITUTION:In the event that an entire heat exchanger 8 is taken out of a main body 1 during its maintenance work, a lid member 10a covering an opening 9a disposed at a bottom surface of the main body 1 is normally released and then the entire heat exchanger 8 is taken out of the opening 9a. In the event that the device is mounted in upside down, the lid 10b covering the opening 9a disposed at the top surface of the main body 1 is released and then the entire heat exchanger 8 is taken out of the opening 9b. Accordingly, in the event that the device is installed in a building having symmetrical rooms with a stairs being held between them as found in a condominium or the like, a heat exchanging type ventilation device 1A for a room A is mounted in a normal fixing direction and a heat exchanging type ventilation device 2A for a room B is mounted in upside down, the adjoining ducts of the two installed devices feed the same kinds of air i.e., the surrounding air OA and so even if the ducts are installed in the same spacing, there is no possibility that the discharged air EA of 1B is taken as the surrounding air OA of 1A. |
