PURPOSE:To obtain a high-speed shutter, by providing the 1st and the 2nd shutter elements on the optical path of image pickup light to an image pickup element, and opening and closing them adequately. CONSTITUTION:On the optical path of image pickup light to the image pickup element 10, the 1st and the 2nd shutter elements 5a and 5b are provided. The 1st shutter element 5a is controlled in response to a shutter operating signal so that the shutter element which shields the image pickup element 10 is opened once an external synchronizing signal is generated. The 2nd shutter element 5a is controlled to shield the image pickup element 10 a specific time after the 1st shutter element 5a is opened. A video signal is read out of the image pickup element 10 synchronously with the external synchronizing signal. |
