<p>PURPOSE:To easily exchange the magnetic tapes in a short time by providing a means which moves up and down a mobile input/output head and a movable reel at a designated position in a magnetic tape store cylinder and a means which revolves the magnetic tape store cylinder. CONSTITUTION:Four magnetic tape store cylinders 2 are provided to store a magnetic tape 3 through a magnetic tape input/output port 5 at the periphery of a rotary shaft 1 together with the laser light sources 4A and 4B, a slit 6, a mobile input/output head 7 which automatically moves up and down, a movable reel 8, and a laser light sensor 9. The cylinder 2 can store plural magnetic tapes 3, and an access is possible to the cylinder 2 when the door of a magnetic tape device is opened. Thus many magnetic tapes can be exchanged with each other automatically, continuously and in a short time.</p> |
