<p>The invention relates to a drum brake with two shoes (12, 14) each having a web (16) and a sole (18) of which the face immediately opposite the drum receives a friction lining (20), the drum brake being arranged on a back-plate (10), the web (16) of each shoe (12, 14) having a notch cooperating with a spacer (40) determining the separation of the shoes (12, 14), the spacer (40) carrying in the vicinity of one of its ends (50) a pivot (52) upon which there pivots an actuating lever (46) extending approximately perpendicularly to the back-plate (10) through an opening (54) cut into the latter and designed to cooperate with one of the shoes.
