PURPOSE:To synthesize a variety of waveforms based upon a source waveform by providing a waveform analyzing means and a waveform means which executes a synthesis module specified with module coupling information to synthesize a waveform according to waveform description information. CONSTITUTION:The analog musical sound signal from a microphone MIC is converted by an A/D converter 1 into a time-series digital signal, which is stored in a memory 3. A Fourier vector or the time-series digital signal stored in the memory 3 is inputted to a programmable analyzing unit 4, which takes an analysis by a loaded analyzing module. Then the programmable analyzing unit 4 outputs waveform description information generated by further abstracting Fourier spectrum or time-series digital signal. This waveform description information is used as a parameter by a programmable synthesizing unit 6 for waveform synthesis and the musical sound signal of the synthesized sound is generated. Consequently, various analyzing processes for the source waveform and a synthesizing process using the analytic result become possible. |
